lyrics

[Verse 1]
April 16th, 2017: pizza boy. jumped off the mountain of history
Mic in his right hand, slice in his left
He’ll have his last supper in-flight, no more time to wait
Done climbing up, hoping that he’d find the faith
Done climbing up, hoping that he’d find a way
Left a note behind -- only read “my mistake.”
Left his life’s work buried in his hideaway
It felt inevitable; he didn’t tell a soul
No need to let them know, plus he knew would they would say
They’d grab him by the face
They’d say he shouldn’t leave
And unwittingly(?) proving his point, they would sing:

[Hook]
Don't drown in the wishing well
Please smile, you don't have to cry
You're a human in the perfect state:
Alive and unsatisfied

[Verse 2]
Figured he’d go forever if he didn’t end himself
Had a curse of resolve; he’d been in hell
Wouldn’t leave; worried about what the demons felt
But staying wasn’t a kind way to treat himself
Stalemate; soul couldn’t take it
Soon enough, it shriveled up and died from the stasis
And then the spirit went, so why stick around?
Deceased too long; it’s time to stop living now
It felt inevitable; he didn’t tell a soul
No need to let them know, plus he knew would they would say
They’d grab him by the face; they’d say he shouldn’t leave
And unwittingly(?) proving his point, they would sing:

[Hook]
